Taking the First Step
For many people, taking the essential first step of seeking treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders is often the most difficult. As a result, we, at Rising Ridge Recovery Center, have designed our admissions process to be as smooth and painless as possible.
As a primary substance abuse treatment center, we treat people who are struggling with virtually all forms of substance abuse and addiction. If a person is interested in our services, the admissions process begins with a phone call and a brief, confidential conversation with one of the compassionate and knowledgeable members of our admissions team.
What to Expect When You Call
When you contact us, our counselors will work diligently to answer any questions that you may have. They will also conduct a basic screening in order to ensure that Rising ridge offers programming that will most appropriately meet your needs. Examples of the information they will request includes the following:
- Demographic information
- History of substance abuse (if applicable)
- History of compulsive gambling behaviors (if applicable)
- Whether other presenting concerns exist (e.g. symptoms of a co-occurring mental health condition, etc.)
- Insurance information
Once this general information has been provided, our counselors will be able to determine whether or not Rising Ridge offers the type and level of service that will be of most benefit to you.
What to Expect During the Intake Procedure
Upon completion of the assessment and after medical detox (if needed), a specialist at our clinic location will discuss the full details of treatment at our facility. They will also list what items can be brought with you, including:
- Appropriate clothing for the weather, hiking, and outdoor activities
- Toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.
- Anything that would make your room feel more like home
We provide washers and dryers as well and laundry detergent, paper towels, bedding, toilet paper, and bath towels
